Client

The Expedia group is the world’s largest online travel company, owning some of the most globally recognised travel brands including Expedia, Hotels.com and TripAdvisor.

EAN is an independent division within the group, responsible for operating the affiliate programme. Through EAN, affiliated partners can increase revenue and deepen the relationship with their own customers by offering an unrivalled inventory of travel products such as flights, hotels, car hire and add on services.

Brief

Traditional travel agents have felt threatened by online travel suppliers and some found it hard to compete. EAN created AgentRez as a niche element within its affiliate offering, introducing an online tool to help travel agents access the group’s huge inventory. The web site design brief was to create a site that deployed a Content Management System (CMS), promoted the benefits and features of the offering and provided direct access to the online tool for registered agents.

Solution

An independent web site that enabled visitors to easily navigate the range of content was devised. The creative web design encouraged agents to sign up to AgentRez so they could experience the affiliate benefits. A series of web page templates were designed to enable EAN to add and edit pages, presenting the information in a clean and accessible manner. The website design also incorporated feeds to promote relevant news and offers as part of EAN’s B2B marketing communications.

Results

A professional website design which provided Expedia/EAN with the ideal channel through which to engage a previously reluctant audience, delivering an offering and content that overcame their reservations.
