Design and build of a modular stand for Blaupunkt

Client

Blaupunkt, a subsidiary of Robert Bosch Ltd, is the European market leader in the car radio industry worldwide. Blaupunkt employs around 7500 staff and produces more than 5,000,000 car radios and 500,000 navigation systems every year.

Brief

A series of UK trade and consumer shows including Max Power in London and Birmingham required the creation of a new stand for the famous “Blue Spot” brand.

Solution

Demo units surrounded a central structure that focused on a dramatic fabric cone, which was the stand’s central feature. Visitors were able to experience first hand the sound created by the company’s respected product range via “ear pods” which concentrated the music on the individual in what was a very loud show! A number of cars were also fitted with navigational, audio and visual products.

Results

With one of the main ambitions for the event being to increase the “perception of cool”, the stand soon became full of the younger target audience who would have not previously considered the brand.

The proof of the success of Origin’s work was in how busy the stand was - attracting both existing customers and new ones.
