

The launch of a new product required a business to business direct marketing campaign that targeted a number of different job functions within local government. This activity was implemented as part of a larger campaign comprising online banner adverts, a website and brochure.
Following telephone research to clean and confirm the database the design of the direct mail piece leveraged the familiar format of an Ordnance Survey map. This opened to reveal a number of “locations” which highlighted the new software’s benefits and features. An outer slip to the mailing piece used personalised content within its leading proposition to further engage the audience.
The DM campaign was rolled out over a number of weeks with telemarketing follow up. Such was the volume of people signing up for demonstrations of the new product, the roll out had to be staggered to fulfil the demand. Origin’s work on this product launch also included name generation and identity development.
