Banner advertising campaign for new product launch for ESRI (UK)

Client

With the single largest pool of GIS expertise in the UK, ESRI (UK) is the technical authority on GIS. ESRI (UK) provides solutions, technology and services that meet a range of business needs in different markets including Local & Central Government, Public Safety, Utilities and Telecommunications.

Brief

Develop a series of animated online banner adverts to appear on a range of local government websites such as wired.gov. Due to the technical variations across the different websites, the animation had to be simple in order to conform to file size restrictions.

Solution

It was decided that the ‘map’ – the creative element being used for the associated direct marketing campaign and other aspects of the product launch collateral – should be deployed, for consistency and recognition. A four part series of ads in both banner and skyscraper formats were created. Each focused on a specific benefit of the software, underlined with the key message of “Achieve more for less”

Results

Click rates for the banner ads were much higher than previously experienced by ESRI (UK), driving many visitors to the new website which in turn encouraged them to book a personalised online presentation. To date, this is the most successful product launch for the company in the UK.
